Cross your fingers..

Kareem (not Karim, but you probably know the difference by now *yawn*) is starting a new job today...

Everyone, keep your fingers crossed for him and wish him luck!

Say a little prayer for him.. If everyone who reads this said a little prayer in their own language and faith, chances are, something is going to get him :)

There is this Swatch ad, where everyone in all parts of the world jumps in the same moment in slow motion, then when they touch the ground a Japanese old man sweeping leaves find that all leaves on a tree are falling for no reason. So its a bit like that...

Real blog later isA :)

Cheers,
N.

Never thought I'd be wishing my nemesis good luck...but what can you say. Nag has decreed it :)

Good luck man!

Chris, is that you?
Buzz out ba2a and let us talk :P
We're doing a good job here complementing each other ;)

Karembu-
according to wikipedia, my primary source of information, a nemesis is a seemingly unbeatable or unconquerable enemy, often used as a foil to the protagonist, where interaction between the hero and his antagonist forms the main conflict of the story.

So thank you for calling him unbeatable blabla...
But shouldnt he be the protagonist and you the nemesis? :P

dunno why but all this big talk reminded me of something that happened yesterday.

We were at this kinda fancy restaurant (skycity) and one of us at the table is a vegan. He asked our hostess about the desserts, trying to find something that would suit him (i.e has no milk, egg, etc.)
The lady recited more than half a dozen items and we were kinda lost, so I told the lady he's a vegan and we were wondering if you have some dessert that will suit him. Her face just went expressionless, she really didn't know what a vegan is, and obviously didn't know what to respond. I swear if she spoke Arabic she would have said "la 7awla wala kowata ella bellah, we da men eh da"

I was just reminded of that by all this big talk because I know some Americans wouldn't understand it :)

Nag said...

ok... i totally cannot see how this relates to that.. i mean your story to mine...

3omooman ya3ni when i first read ur comment, i understood Vegan as a person from Vegas (even tho i knew the word from before) and after u said no egg, milk, etc.. i thought eno Vegan is some religious sect keda then in the next second i understood :)

Usually Veggie ppl wont mind eating stuff that doesnt involve a loss of life (or a loss of a limb :)) to the animal.. so they eat milk and eggs usually..

Anyway, i still dont see the analogy :P

La 7awla wala qowwata ella bellah. W da men eih da?

Oh, and something else. Who the nemesis is depends on who the progatonist is. From my point of view, I am the protagonist. From his point of view, and apparently yours too, he is :)

Nag said...

no no, you're the protagonist too but in a different story :)

Christian said...

You're talking about vegeterians, vegans eat like a subset of what vegeterians eat. so in a sense vegeterians are a superset of vegans.

lol, anyway, still don't see the analogy?
I mean, "protagonist", "nemesis", "vegans", big words!
Anyway, just forget about it

Forget about what? Who are you again?

Thanx ya Karembu and Chris for wishing me good luck and all...bas I wanted to know keda what on earth are you talking about? Ana shayef kalam kebeer awy hena yas3ob 3ala amsaly fehmo :D

Nag said...

ok.. we have 3 people; Karim, Kareem, and Chris...

Chris-
protagonist, antagonist, and nemesis are not like vegan!
I repeat, a Vegan is someone from Vegas.

Kareem-
had you studied "Art and Philosophy" like Karim and I, or had you gone to MS in Redmond, you would've known what we're talking about.. right now, am just enjoying being on the knowing side and having you on the unknowing side..

Karim-
I still hate you for announcing your arrival date even though i made it perfectly clear that i dont want to be told. It wasnt going to be hard for you to just say "in December" and surprise us.. oh no, you had to go and declare it to the whole nation.. i think i dont like you..
