the blog today will be highly incoherent because am not in a concentrating mood.. (as if the previous ones were coherent ;)) but seriously, this one will be bits and pieces keda...
hmmm.... ah.. the other day i ask Karim why he no longer asks about me or the "you-know-who" issue, he says "you dont write ur blog anymore so i dont have any updates"!!! well, one would think that since i dont write my blog, you would actually _ask_ for news.. the reason i say "you-know-who" and not the actual name reference is a piece of wisdom i got once from Chris that goes something like "you're pasting your story on the WWW and you want to keep it a secret?".. also i discovered that many many people actually read my blog without me knowing it :) anyway, in case you were wondering ya Karim, the you-know-what is going fine.. juuust fine.. really.. and who knows ;)

what else... hmmm Friday i went to Rehab Alaa's katb ketab.. remember her ya Karim? weird huh? we were so out of touch since we graduated and we werent on good terms before it, so i was really touched she invited me...

- Robots (real fun.. cool movie..)
- Kingdom of Heaven (saw it yday with Mai + Sherif) nice one.. good production, no cultural stereotyping, so its cool
- Be Cool.. light movie.. made me laugh.. i luv Travolta... Uma Thurman is an utterly unfair person! nice clothes, nice body, nice person, nice dancing, loathe her..

ah, they got new equipment in the gym here.. only the guy's gym is operating now so it's split between times for women and times for men.. i played this morning for like 30 mins.. was cool actually.. felt refreshed the rest of the day...
what else... hmmmm ah, am hungry... had a croissant and a cheese croissant since morning.. i want McD soooooooooooooooooo badly... but am trying to cut the junk addiction.. but its been so long since i had McD, its not fair.... but am feeling so healthy today... but i really want to, just this once, consider it a farewell to junk even.. i dunno.. maybe....
hmmm..... i cant remember what else... and i need to wrap up and go because my prince will be here in a couple of mins to pick me up (this one is to tease you ya Chris :P i am basa7lel)

مصر تعيش ما يشبه ايام السادات الاخيرة
الشروط التعجيزية التي اقرها مجلس الشوري يوم امس الاول، ويجب توفرها في اي مرشح يرشح نفسه في انتخابات الرئاسة المقبلة، تؤكد ان نظام الرئيس حسني مبارك لا يريد ان يقرأ ما يجري في شوارع مصر من مظاهرات، وما يكتب في صحافتها من مقالات ضد نظام حكمه وفساده قراءة صحيحة متأنية يستخلص منها الدروس التي تساعده في اجراء الاصلاحات وابعاد شبح الانفجار الدموي.
التعديل يطالب المرشح، اي مرشح، بان يحصل علي موافقة اكثر من ثلاثمئة عضو من الاعضاء المنتخبين في مجلس الشعب والشوري ومجالس المحافظات.
الشخص الوحيد الذي يمكن ان يلبي هذا الشرط هو الرئيس حسني مبارك، او ابنه جمال مبارك، لان الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي الحاكم يسيطر علي هذه المجالس بالكامل.
وحتي لو ضمن اشخاص اخرون هذا العدد من المؤيدين لترشيحهم في المجالس المذكورة، غير الرئيس ونجله، فان هؤلاء سيكونون من قيادات الحزب الحاكم، اي ان هذا الحزب هو الذي سيقرر الرئيس القادم، ومن يجرؤ علي المنافسة في هذه الحالة من داخله للرئيس مبارك، وحتي ان جرؤ احد ونزل الي الحلبة، فسيكون ذلك باتفاق مسبق، وفي اطار مسرحية مكشوفة لن تقنع احدا.
هذه التعديلات الشكلية، تعيد تقديم الاستفتاء علي التمديد للرئيس المتبع في السابق بطريقة جديدة، اي تغيير في الشكل وابقاء علي المضمون، بحيث تأتي النتائج واحدة، اي فوز الرئيس مبارك بولاية خامسة.
الشعب المصري الذي يمثل حضارة تمتد لاكثر من سبعة الاف عام لا يمكن ان تنطلي عليه هذه الحيل والالاعيب، كما ان سياسة العصا الغليظة التي تمارسها السلطات حاليا لمنع المظاهرات لن تزيد الموقف الا تصعيدا.
فمن الواضح ان جماعة الاخوان المسلمين قررت الخروج عن سياسة ضبط النفس التي اتبعتها طوال السنوات الماضية، وقررت النزول الي حلبة المواجهة مع النظام. فبعد ان فاجأت حركة الاخوان المعارضة بمساندتها للنظام في موقفه السابق في عدم تعديل الدستور لفتح المجال امام انتخابات رئاسية تعددية، والتلميح الي القبول بالتوريث، انقلبت اكثر من مئة وثمانين درجة في الاسبوعين الاخيرين ونظمت مظاهرات في اكثر من عشر مدن مصرية ضد النظام وطلبا للاصلاحات.
الدكتور محمد مهدي عاكف زعيم الحركة خرج عن كل الخطوط الحمر يوم امس عندما اعتبر نظام الرئيس مبارك فاشلا وهدد بالعصيان المدني لمواجهته واسقاطه، بينما نزلت الآلاف من نساء الحزب في مظاهرات في الشوارع للمطالبة بالافراج عن المعتقلين.
مصر تعيش حاليا مرحلة شبيهة بتلك التي سبقت اغتيال الرئيس محمد انور السادات، فالسخط الشعبي بلغ درجات غير مسبوقة، والنظام لا يريد ان يسمع او يتعلم، ويعتقد انه بالاعتقالات يمكن ان يسيطر علي الموقف.
النظام المصري بات بلا اصدقاء في الشارع، وربما الاستثناء الوحيد هو الممثل الكوميدي عادل امام الذي ادان امس المظاهرات وقال انها تضر بمصر. ان مساندته للنظام هي اكبر مسرحية كوميدية، الامر الذي يعكس مدي مأزق النظام وممثليه.

You make me look like some kind of...I don't know...the word escapes me but you know what I mean...some kind of uncool frood. grrrrr! I know where my towel is!
